ABOUT US
WHO WE ARE
We are a non-government, non-profit organization in search of general wellbeing for marine organisms, comprised of an interdisciplinary group of biologists and social communicators, working in synergy with a variety of involved parties, such as environmental authorities, non government organizations and tourist outfitters.
Our main objective is the rescue of sea lions which have been injured by entanglement with fishing nets, fishing lines, hooks and man-made refuse in the Baja California Peninsula and the Gulf of California.
OUR VISION
We aim to eliminate the negative impact visited upon the sea lions by human activities through a combination of innovation, education and awareness on the sustainable use of marine life.
OUR MISSION
To mitigate the negative impact that fishing (in general) and man-made pollution in the ocean have on health and wellbeing of the affected sea lions through rescue and veterinary care; as well as to expand upon the knowledge of rescue techniques and to bring our program to other areas where these pinnipeds are distributed.
